Good Food York

Good Food York is the cross-sector body responsible for York’s participation in the national Sustainable Food Places Network, working to create a city where access to fresh, local, affordable, and sustainable food is easy for all. Its role is to strategise, network, and facilitate the implementation of a city-wide Food Action Plan, acting as a crucial forum to build a regenerative food system movement in the York area. Similarly, FoodWise Leeds acts as the city’s official food partnership, aiming to create a healthy, sustainable, and fair food system for everyone in Leeds by driving the Leeds Food Strategy. They partner with local organisations and the City Council to transform policy, promote community initiatives like food growing, and work toward achieving the Sustainable Food Places Silver Award.
