Yorkshire Food Farming & Rural Network

Yorkshire Food Farming & Rural Network (YFFRN)

The Yorkshire Food, Farming and Rural Network (YFFRN) is a key initiative supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS), operating to champion the interests and promote the sustainability of farming, agri-food businesses, and rural communities across Yorkshire. The network serves as a crucial two-way communication channel, gathering local issues and concerns from regional stakeholder groups and feeding this intelligence directly to government bodies, including Defra, to influence policy for a more rural-friendly agenda. Its core goal is to help these sectors become more economically, environmentally, and socially resilient and sustainable by facilitating networking, sharing information, and providing advice and training opportunities, such as courses on carbon auditing, first aid for farmers, and educational visits.
